New Garden, Garden monument in northern Potsdam, Germany
The New Garden extends over 102 hectares between Heiliger See and Jungfernsee lakes, featuring classical architectural structures and open green spaces.
Frederick William II of Prussia commissioned the garden in 1787, with Johann August Eyserbeck implementing an English landscape design inspired by Dessau-Wörlitz Garden.
The garden includes the Marble Palace, Gothic Library, Orangery, and Cecilienhof Palace, representing different architectural periods of German royal residences.
Visitors can access the garden daily from 8:00 until nightfall, with entry points near the Marble Palace and along Am Neuen Garten street.
The garden contains an underground passage connecting the Marble Palace to its kitchen building, designed as a partially buried temple ruin.
