New Chambers, Museum at Sanssouci Park, Germany

The New Chambers stretches 110 meters along Sanssouci Park, featuring a simple exterior facade and four grand banquet halls adorned with marble and precious stones.

Frederick the Great commissioned the structure in 1747 as an orangery, later transforming it between 1771 and 1775 into guest accommodations under architect Georg Christian Unger.

The Ovid Gallery contains fourteen gilded stucco reliefs depicting scenes from Roman mythology, while the Jasper Room displays a ceiling fresco of Venus.

The building opens from April through October, Tuesday to Sunday, from 10:00 to 17:30, with standard admission at 8 euros and reduced rates at 6 euros.

The Grand Marquetry Cabinet features intricate wood paneling created by the Spindler brothers, displaying exceptional craftsmanship through detailed wood inlay techniques.
