Kurpfalz-Park, Wildlife and adventure park in Wachenheim, Germany
Kurpfalz-Park is a wildlife and recreational park situated in the Palatinate Forest at about 300 meters in elevation. It contains animal enclosures alongside play areas and activity spaces for guests.
The park was founded in 1970 as a wildlife protection area. In 2005, new management took over operations and expanded the facilities.
The park features Wutzel, a costumed wild boar character family that teaches visitors about animals in an engaging way. You can encounter these mascots as you walk through the grounds.
The park is accessible on foot with various pathways running through the grounds. Families with young children should wear sturdy shoes and plan time to explore the different areas.
The grounds are crossed by several streams, including the Mußbach and its tributaries, which create small water features and ponds. These waterways shape the landscape and add to the natural setting.
