Schloss Seeheim, Villa castle in Constance, Germany
The castle stands at the eastern end of the Bodanrück peninsula, between the Konstanz bay and Überlinger Lake of Lake Constance.
Adolf von Scholz commissioned architect Hermann Eggert to build this late Gothic-style villa between 1889 and 1890 on foundations of earlier structures.
Wilhelm von Scholz, a German poet, made the castle his residence from 1924 to 1969, contributing to the literary heritage of the region.
The castle now houses the Akademie Schloss Seeheim and includes a café-restaurant, offering visitors multiple ways to experience the property.
Prince Bismarck and Count Ferdinand von Zeppelin attended the castle's opening ceremony in 1890, marking its significance in German society.
