Tierpark Göppingen

Tierpark Göppingen is a small zoo in Göppingen that houses around 80 different animal species with approximately 150 individual animals across about 1.5 hectares. The grounds contain European farm animals, domestic pets, and also more exotic species all in one place.

The zoo was founded in 1952, but its roots trace back to an aquarium association that began in 1892. This long history shows how the original project developed into a public animal park for the community.

The park grew from local roots and serves as a place where families can watch animals in a relaxed setting today. You see both domestic creatures and more exotic species here, each playing an important role in the daily life of the space.

The zoo grounds are easy to access and suit a relaxed family visit, with daily opening times in the morning and afternoon. The kiosk offers drinks and snacks, but is only open on certain days and during school holidays.

Visitors can feed and watch specific animals like meerkats and white-eared marmosets directly, which makes this type of park special. This direct interaction creates an immediate wildlife experience that many zoos do not offer.
