Pützerturm

The Pützerturm features six floors crowned by a mansard roof with a clock turret, displaying detailed architectural craftsmanship in its exterior design.

Built in 1905 by architect Friedrich Pützer, the tower initially served as a wireless telegraphy station with a copper dome that was destroyed in 1944.

The building represents the growth of electrical engineering education at the Technical University of Darmstadt, where it functioned as a lecture hall.

Following restoration work completed in 2015 with a budget of 3.4 million euros, the tower maintains its original features while serving modern office purposes.

The tower's height was reduced by nine meters during post-war reconstruction, and its flanking structures were elevated to create a new architectural balance.
