Kasinogebäude

The Kasinogebäude is a red brick structure with distinctive arches on its sides and sits near the waterfront in the Mürwik district. The complex contains retail spaces on the ground floor with residential apartments occupying the upper levels.

The building was completed in 1944 and originally served as a military casino for non-commissioned officers and enlisted personnel during World War II. After the war, it was converted into residential and commercial use.

The building now serves as a mixed residential and commercial space where daily life unfolds across its different levels. This shift from military to civilian use shows how wartime structures were transformed into places for ordinary people to live and shop.
