Mols Bjerge National Park

The park spans 180 square kilometers of varied terrain, including hills reaching 137 meters, forests, beaches, and glacially formed inlets along the Kattegat sea.

Queen Margrethe II inaugurated the park as Denmark's second national park in 2009, following its establishment announcement by Minister Troels Lund Poulsen in 2008.

The park contains numerous archaeological sites, including Stone Age dolmens, passage graves, and the Bronze Age burial mound of Stabelhøje.

Visitors access the park through marked trails, bike paths, and parking areas, with the Strandkær visitor center providing information and research facilities.

The protected area houses over half of Denmark's wild plant species and functions as a Natura 2000 site for preserving rare ecosystems.
