The Casbah of Dellys is a fortified settlement featuring narrow winding streets, stone dwellings, and four main gates dividing the area. Most structures were built from local stone, clay tiles, and wood materials characteristic of the region.
The settlement was founded in 1068 by an Andalusian prince and developed on the remains of a Roman site. It grew into a major trading center connecting the surrounding coastal regions.
