Hocine-Ait Ahmed Stadium

Hocine-Ait Ahmed Stadium is Algeria's third-largest sports venue with a hybrid grass field and two-tier seating for approximately 50,000 spectators. An additional athletics stadium with roughly 6,500 capacity, training fields, and support buildings complement the facility.

Construction began in May 2010 and went through several phases with different contractors involved. The official opening took place in July 2024, marking the completion of a project that spanned over a decade.

The stadium is named after an independence leader and serves as home to the local football club JS Kabylie. Supporters create a lively environment during matches, making it a focal point for sports enthusiasm in the region.

The grounds are well-equipped with different areas for various sports and easy to navigate. Arriving early is recommended to allow enough time to explore the complex and locate your intended entrance.

The playing field uses a specialized AirFibr technology that blends natural grass with synthetic microfibers to create a durable surface for year-round use. This combination allows the field to maintain its quality even with heavy play.
