Cala Varques

Cala Varques is a small cove on the eastern coast of Mallorca with fine white sand that extends into turquoise water. It sits sheltered by pine forests and limestone cliffs that frame the shoreline naturally.

This cove is one of many natural harbors along Mallorca's eastern coast that served fishermen as sheltered anchorages for generations. The undeveloped character of the place preserves a stretch of Mediterranean coastline as it existed before modern changes.

The locals value this cove as a natural space where the landscape stays untouched and no shops or built structures interrupt the view. The beach feels more like a private retreat than a developed tourist destination.

To reach the beach, take the walking path that takes about 15 minutes from the parking area near the Ma-4014 road. Bring water, food, and sun protection since no services or facilities are available on-site.

Underwater caves exist beneath the surface, offering snorkelers a view of diverse marine life and habitats. Those who take time to explore find a hidden underwater world beneath the surrounding cliffs.
