Caló des Serral, Sandy cove in Manacor, Spain
Caló des Serral is a small cove on Mallorca's eastern coast that combines sandy patches with rocky sections. It stretches about 20 meters long and 12 meters wide, forming a natural indentation between larger coastal developments.
The cove formed naturally as the coastline developed between two settlement areas as Mallorca's coastal growth evolved. Its position between Cales de Mallorca and Cala Romántica reflects how the region gradually became inhabited over time.
Local fishermen work here following traditional methods and maintain their connection to maritime practices of the Balearic Islands. Their daily routines reflect how the community has used this cove for generations.
Two designated parking areas sit before the rural tourism house, with an additional smaller lot beyond it. The cove is easily reached on foot and offers access to calm waters throughout the year.
The cove remains undeveloped with no built facilities and features clear waters ideal for diving and underwater exploration. Its untouched character makes it a rare retreat along this otherwise developed coastline.
