Casas de La Cumbre, Mountain residential settlement in Anaga, Tenerife, Spain.
Casas de La Cumbre is a mountain settlement stretched along El Bailadero road at the summit ridge of the Anaga massif, positioned at about 790 meters elevation. The area includes a public square, a social center, dining options, and houses the Municipal Forest Unit's coordination headquarters.
The settlement emerged in the 1940s following the completion of the El Bailadero road, which connected the ridge area. Early residents arrived from the villages of Roque Negro and Afur seeking new opportunities.
The local chapel built in 1982 houses a replica of the Virgin of Guadalupe, carved by a sculptor from the nearby village of Taganana. It serves as a meaningful gathering point for residents and reflects their spiritual traditions.
The settlement is easily reached via the El Bailadero road that runs through the area. The available services including restaurants and shops make it a convenient base for exploring trails in the surrounding mountains.
Several hiking routes depart from this location toward popular destinations like Pico del Inglés and the Valle Brosque valley. Residences are scattered across distinct neighborhood areas including Llano Grande, Guañaque, and Los Laureles.
