Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de las Nieves

The church features three naves separated by rounded arches supported by Tuscan columns, with thick masonry walls and red tuff stone corners.

The original structure dates back to 1505, with the current main chapel completed in 1728, making it one of the first parishes established after the conquest.

The wooden statue of the Virgin of Las Nieves, discovered on a nearby beach before 1506, remains the central religious element of the church.

The church underwent major renovations in 2016, adding marble floors, waterproofing, accessibility features, and a fire detection system.

Local residents transported construction materials and sand from the beach through steep mountain paths during the 1959 reconstruction.
