Iglesia de San Andrés is a baroque parish church in Villanueva del Arzobispo built in a Latin cross layout with a single nave. The interior features a barrel vault ceiling with lunettes for natural light and several side chapel recesses that define the space.

Construction of this church began in 1600 under Bishop Sancho Dávila y Toledo and continued until 1689, with master builder Juan Alonso de Bex overseeing significant portions. The extended building period allowed different architectural influences to merge into its final baroque form.

The church is named after Saint Andrew and its furnishings reflect the religious devotion of the local community across centuries. The baroque altarpiece and carefully crafted side chapel niches tell the story of artistic development that shaped this sacred space.

The church is located in the old town center of Villanueva del Arzobispo and is easily reached on foot, with two preserved medieval towers immediately visible on the structure. The high interior with good lighting feels open, making all areas simple to explore.

The interior contains a two-level choir loft with a total of 45 seats, with the lower tier having fewer places than the upper one. This arrangement shows how music and singing played an important role in the services of that era.
