Monastery of Santa María de Bujedo de Juarros

The Monastery of Santa Maria de Bujedo de Juarros is a medieval complex built in Gothic style, featuring a church, cloister, and stone buildings arranged around functional spaces. The monastery was established in 1178 by religious settlers following Cistercian principles and ideals. In the 1700s it transformed into a retirement home for elderly monks before later becoming private property.
