Museo de Soldaditos de Plomo L’Iber, Military miniature museum in Gothic Palace, Valencia, Spain
Museo de Soldaditos de Plomo L'Iber is a military miniature museum housed in a Gothic palace in central Valencia. The exhibition displays over 95,000 historical miniatures, including toy soldiers and dioramas, spread across multiple exhibition halls within this Mediterranean Gothic building.
The museum opened in 2007 inside Palacio de Malferit, a building with origins in the medieval period, transforming the former noble residence into an exhibition space. This transformation made the historic structure a center for preserving miniaturized historical representation.
The collection shows Spanish history through detailed miniatures from different periods, including a depiction of the Corpus Christi procession with elaborate craftsmanship. Visitors see everyday scenes and festive moments brought to life in miniature form.
The museum welcomes visitors Tuesday through Sunday, with bus lines 7, 27, 73, and C1 providing access to the location. It helps to check opening hours in advance and allow time to explore the multi-floor exhibition.
The collection contains a detailed recreation of the Battle of Almansa, a conflict from the past. Additionally, displays show the evolution of guards for Spanish Heads of State since the 15th century.
