Palau dels Català de Valeriola, Gothic palace in Plaza de Nules, Valencia, Spain
The palace features a central courtyard with cobblestone flooring, two angled staircases, and distinctive Gothic arches framing the open space.
Built during the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries on Islamic foundations, the palace underwent major reconstruction in 1727 when the adjacent house was acquired.
The palace served as headquarters for the Academy of Nocturnes, a literary circle established in 1591 by Bernardo Guillem Català de Valeriola.
The building now houses the Vice-Presidency and Ministry of Equality and Inclusive Policies, maintaining regular administrative office hours.
Original wooden beams and decorative elements were discovered during the 2006 renovation, revealing the authentic colors and patterns of the period.
