Sant Antoni de Portmany extends across the western coast of Ibiza, encompassing 126 square kilometers of Mediterranean landscape with beaches and coastal cliffs.
The settlement originated as a fishing village near a Roman natural harbor called Portus Magnus before evolving into a major tourist destination in the 1950s.
The municipality includes three traditional villages with white churches: Sant Agnes, San Mateo, and San Rafael, where local potters maintain centuries-old ceramic techniques.
The town features a marina port along the promenade, offering regular ferry services to nearby beaches and weekly connections to the island of Formentera.
A monumental egg-shaped statue stands in the town center, representing local claims about Christopher Columbus demonstrating how to make an egg stand upright.
