The stadium opened its doors on August 15, 2001, with an inaugural match between Sociedad Deportiva Tenisca and Union Deportiva Las Palmas.
The resident team, SD Tenisca, takes its name from a princess of the Benahoarita people who inhabited La Palma before Spanish colonization.
The stadium includes three open seating sections in blue and white colors, along with a two-level corner structure containing VIP facilities.
The facility maintains a natural grass playing surface measuring 105 by 65 meters, with floodlights enabling evening sporting events.
