Arnielles Beach

Arnielles Beach is a 330-meter stretch of fine golden sand situated on Asturias western coastline near Ortiguera village. Moderate waves and rocky cliffs frame this beach, which sits below Cape San Agustín at the end of the access path.

This coastal area contains traces of ancient settlements dating back to early periods of habitation in northern Spain. The presence of these early communities demonstrates that this shoreline has held human interest across centuries.

The La Ferrería stream flows into the beach, creating a rare meeting point between freshwater and seawater ecosystems. This natural mixing zone attracts bird species that live in both environments.
