El Ventorrillo, Fighting bull breeding ranch in Los Yébenes, Spain.
El Ventorrillo is a fighting bull breeding facility in Los Yébenes that maintains a herd of approximately 150 cows and four bulls. All animals descend from genetic lines established by Don Juan Pedro Domecq.
The facility was established in 1885 by Don Luis da Gamma, who incorporated breeding stock from Don Joaquin Murube. Later, Don Francisco Medina acquired the property in 1992 and made modifications while maintaining the existing bloodlines.
The facility contributes to Spanish bullfighting traditions by raising bulls specifically selected for their performance characteristics in the arena.
Access is generally available by appointment only since this is a private working facility. Planning ahead is necessary to arrange a visit to the site.
In 1992, Don Francisco Medina acquired the ranch and modified the iron design while preserving the established cattle bloodlines from previous owners.
