Raunistulan rehutehdas, Industrial silo in Raunistula, Finland
The concrete storage building rises prominently in the Raunistula district, featuring multiple levels and industrial architecture characteristics from the early 20th century.
The Hankkija cooperative society established this feed factory in 1921, which grew to produce 300,000 kilograms of feed daily with 85 workers.
The industrial complex represents Finland's agricultural development, marking the transition from wooden to concrete storage facilities in the country's feed production sector.
The former industrial site has undergone transformation into residential buildings known as Barkerinranta, with eight apartment complexes planned for construction.
The facility appeared in the 2005 Finnish film 'Tyttö sinä olet tähti' before its demolition and conversion into residential property.
