Parc du Mouton

Parc du Mouton is a mountain summit in the French Alps reaching 1859 meters elevation. The slopes feature open meadows and forest sections connected by established hiking paths.

For centuries, local herders used the mountain as part of seasonal grazing routes in the Alps. These pastoral traditions shaped both the landscape and the paths that remain visible today.

The summit marks the meeting point between Plancherine and Verrens-Arvey communes, defining traditional mountain territory boundaries.

The climb from Col de Tamié follows established marked paths that take several hours to ascend. Visitors should start early in the day and bring appropriate gear and weatherproof clothing.

On clear days, the summit offers views of Mont Blanc and the Albertville valley in the distance. A nearby stream adds to the character of the high-altitude setting.
