Dent de Pleuven

Dent de Pleuven is a rocky summit in the Bauges Mountains with distinctive limestone cliffs and steep slopes. The terrain offers several hiking routes that depart from nearby villages and pass through varied landscapes.

The region has been a center of craft traditions since at least the late Middle Ages, particularly for woodworking. These activities continue to shape the heritage of local mountain communities.

Wild chamois use the cliff walls as their natural habitat and can often be spotted from a distance by hikers. These animals are a sign of the undisturbed mountain ecosystem in this area.
