Jerusalem Hotel

The Jerusalem Hotel is a three-story building in the Old City with 14 rooms furnished with handcrafted pieces influenced by early Islamic and Andalusian design styles. The interior spaces display traditional design elements that blend various cultural influences from the region.

The building was constructed in 1887 and initially served as an Ottoman police station. Over time it was used as a residence and school before being converted to a hotel in 1950.

The hotel works with local women producer groups and serves both Palestinian and continental breakfast options that reflect the region's diversity. The food and crafts on display tell stories of the different communities that shape this area.

The hotel sits five minutes from Damascus Gate and offers car rental services along with assistance organizing visits to local attractions. Staff can help with planning transport connections and day trips in the area.

The building rests on the foundations of a Byzantine church, with archaeological remains recently discovered in the hotel courtyard. These findings reveal the deep historical layers buried beneath the modern surface.
