Chelouche bridge, Stone bridge in Neve Tzedek, Tel Aviv, Israel.

The Chelouche Bridge is a stone structure in Neve Tzedek that connects different parts of this oldest neighborhood of Tel Aviv. The short crossing is simple in its form, standing solidly within its surrounding area.

The structure was built in 1892 and is one of the oldest infrastructure elements in Tel Aviv, even predating the city's official founding. Its presence shows how early settlements were already organized before Tel Aviv became a city.

The bridge carries the name of the Chelouche family, whose building work and involvement shaped the development of Neve Tzedek. Today, visitors crossing it can notice the traces of these early residents in the surrounding neighborhood.

The bridge is easily walkable and sits in the middle of the Neve Tzedek residential area, where narrow streets and small squares invite exploration. It is best visited during daytime when the surroundings are active and you can fully explore the historical neighborhood.

The structure was already in use when Tel Aviv did not yet exist, serving early Neve Tzedek residents as a vital connection. It is thus a rare witness to how people wanted to live together here long before the modern city came into being.
