Neve Tzedek Tower, Residential skyscraper in Neve Tzedek neighborhood, Tel Aviv, Israel
Neve Tzedek Tower is a 44-storey, 147-metre residential skyscraper at 61 Eilat Street, on the southern edge of Neve Tzedek near the historic Jaffa–Jerusalem railway route. It holds 300 apartments, about 850 square metres per floor with three to thirteen units each. Its first ten floors are double-height, with gallery levels and six-metre windows. It was designed by Zvi Gabay.
Construction of this modern residential complex began in 2003 and finished in 2007. The project marked a turning point in Tel Aviv's urban development, showing how traditional areas were being modernized.
The tower is also called Migdal Nahushtan, after Nahushtan Properties, which owned the plot and initiated construction with Eli Papoushado's Almog Yam Suf company. Its 147-metre bulk drew public criticism for clashing with the low, narrow-alleyed historic neighbourhood and casting long shadows over it for hours each day.
The tower stands at 61 Eilat Street, on the southern edge of Neve Tzedek near the historic Jaffa–Jerusalem railway line and the Red Line light rail works. A pedestrian precinct runs from Eilat Street north to the old rail route, linked to Neve Tzedek by a footbridge over the railway alignment, similar to nearby Gesher Shalom. The indoor pool and gym on the tenth floor serve residents only.
Each floor holds between three and thirteen apartments, featuring specialized loft units with extended ceiling heights. This varied layout allows different living styles and spatial experiences within a single tower.
