The population includes 77.37 percent Hindu and 22.22 percent Muslim residents, with Hindi speakers representing 93.23 percent of the inhabitants.
National Highway 91 connects the district's seven administrative divisions: Bulandshahr, Syana, Anoopshahr, Shikarpur, Khurja, Dibai, and Sikandrabad.
The district produces substantial quantities of wheat, maize, potatoes, and sugarcane, making it a significant agricultural center in Uttar Pradesh.
