Chiesa del Santo Volto

The Chiesa del Santo Volto is a modern church building in Turin designed with seven towers arranged in a heptagonal layout. The interior is illuminated by strategically positioned skylights and windows that direct natural light throughout the central hall.

Built between 2004 and 2006, the church replaced the Bogaro steel mills as part of an urban renewal project. This conversion of former factory grounds into a place of worship marked a significant shift in the city's development.

This church occupies the site of a former steel factory, and that industrial past remains part of the place's character and meaning. The community gathers here at a location transformed from a space once defined by factory work.

The site is spacious and includes parking areas along with various support facilities such as offices and conference spaces. The layout spreads across different sections, so visitors should allow time to explore the grounds.

A preserved industrial smokestack wrapped in stainless steel supports a 60-meter cross, linking the religious building with the area's manufacturing heritage. This element shows how the structure deliberately incorporates the site's former use into its current identity.
