Villa Paradiso

Villa Paradiso sits at the end of Via Castellino and shows neoclassical architecture with preserved upper gardens and historical structures. The lower section now houses a scientific high school and residential park, while the upper garden area keeps its original design.

This villa came together from two earlier properties: Villa Romeo from the 18th century and Villa Ruffo de Scilla from the 19th century. Cardinal Ruffo played a role in bringing them together and restoring them in the early 20th century.

The 19th-century chapel here shows how the estate brought together religious and family life in one place. It was restored in 1923 following a family request and still stands as a quiet reminder of how important this location was to those who lived there.

The upper section is easier to visit, while the lower area has limited access because it is used by a school. Start with the preserved gardens and historical structures in the upper part for the best view of the property.

Old dovecotes and an ancient well remain in the upper garden, showing how the original estate was used for farming. These quiet structures tell the story of how people once lived directly from the land.
