Fort of Bibbona

The Fort of Bibbona is a stone structure located along the Tuscan Riviera coastline, overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea with multiple interior rooms. The building sits at a strategic vantage point that once allowed defenders to monitor approaching vessels and threats from the water.

The Grand Duchy of Tuscany built this defensive structure in 1785 in response to pirate threats along the coast. It was part of a larger network of fortifications designed to protect the territory from maritime raids.
