Villa Ginori, 18th-century military villa in Marina di Cecina, Italy.
The building incorporates a 16th-century watchtower within its structure and stands at the mouth of the Cecina River near the Tuscan coast.
Carlo Ginori commissioned architect Giovanni del Fantasia to construct this villa in 1740, using remnants of an existing coastal defense tower.
The villa marked the beginning of territorial development in the Maremma region, initially populated by settlers from penal colonies in 1741.
The complex currently functions as the headquarters for the Military Command Region, serving as an essential component of local military operations.
A special postal cancellation stamp was created for the villa's 280th anniversary, commemorating its role in the development of Marina di Cecina.
