Santo Volto di Gesù

Santo Volto di Gesù is a modern parish church in the Portuense district with a striking triangular footprint and angled walls. The building displays geometric shapes with curved surfaces that define the interior space.

The building was constructed between 2003 and 2006 and was initially dedicated to San Massimiliano Kolbe. After completion, it received its current name in honor of the Holy Face of Jesus.

Artists have left their mark here through works dedicated to Jesus and modern abstract window designs that shape the space. These artistic contributions show how contemporary creativity plays a role in the worship experience.

The church is open daily to visitors, though access may be limited during scheduled services. It is best to check opening times beforehand and respect times of worship.

The floor plan is based on an isosceles right-angled triangle, with the hypotenuse forming the altar wall. This mathematical design creates a special acoustic and visual perspective for visitors.
