Luneur Park, Amusement park in EUR district, Rome, Italy
Luneur Park holds around 25 rides and attractions spread across seven hectares in the EUR neighborhood of Rome. Among them sit a multicolored Ferris wheel and a yellow brick maze inspired by the Wizard of Oz.
The amusement area opened in 1953 during an agricultural fair held in Rome and continued welcoming visitors until 2008. After renovation work, the site reopened its gates in 2016.
The name blends Luna Park with EUR, pointing to the southern district where the site stands. Families with younger children now gather around the colored rides and themed sections scattered throughout the grounds.
Visitors reach the site using three metro stops on Line B: EUR Magliana, EUR Palasport, and EUR Fermi. All three lie within walking distance and connect to the wider city network.
After renovation, the space focused on children under 13, adding child-sized bathrooms and breastfeeding rooms throughout the grounds. This shift sets the park apart from other amusement areas aimed at a wider age range.
