The Museo Nazionale delle Arti e Tradizioni Popolari displays over 100,000 artifacts documenting traditional Italian life across different regions of the country.
The museum began in 1906 with collections from the 1911 International Exposition celebrating fifty years of Italian unification, and opened to the public in 1956.
The museum exhibits regional costumes, farming tools, ceremonial items, and traditional crafts that represent the daily lives of Italian communities throughout history.
Located at Piazza Guglielmo Marconi 8, the museum welcomes visitors from Tuesday through Sunday between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
The collection includes a gondola given to Queen Margaret of Savoy in 1882 and twelve ceremonial masks from the Procession of San Sosti.
