Museo del Risorgimento, History museum in Genoa, Italy
The Museum of Risorgimento occupies Giuseppe Mazzini's birthplace, displaying historical collections of documents, paintings, weapons, uniforms, and photographs from Italy's unification period.
Founded by Arturo Codignola in 1915 at Palazzo Bianco, the museum relocated to its current location in 1934, marking a significant phase in preserving Italian independence history.
The museum collection includes the original manuscript of the Italian National Anthem written by Goffredo Mameli in 1847 and paintings by Domenico Induno.
The museum maintains different opening schedules between March and October, with general admission at 5 euros and reduced tickets at 3 euros for specific categories.
Visitors can view Mazzini's guitar, which remains in playing condition and receives special handling during particular museum events.
