Palazzo Nuovo de Bergame, Renaissance palace and library in Città Alta, Italy

The Palazzo Nuovo features a white marble facade with two levels, including ground floor loggia arches and upper windows framed by Doric columns.

Architect Vincenzo Scamozzi designed the structure in 1604 to serve as Bergamo's municipal headquarters, with construction continuing through multiple phases until 1928.

The Angelo Mai Library within Palazzo Nuovo contains 677,145 volumes, 2,280 incunables, and 16,830 manuscripts, forming a major Italian literary collection.

Located on Piazza Vecchia, the palace offers wheelchair access through a ramp at the main entrance and elevators to reach the first floor exhibitions.
