Palazzo Oddo, Renaissance palace in Albenga, Italy
Palazzo Oddo occupies an entire block in the historic center of Albenga, featuring a connected church of San Carlo through an architectural arch.
The palace transformed from a private residence to an educational institution in 1623 when Gio Maria Oddi donated it for establishing a college and higher education school.
The palace contains the Simonetta Comanedi civic library on its second floor, housing over 25,000 volumes including the Don Balletto collection of philosophy and art texts.
The San Carlo Auditorium within the palace complex accommodates 130 people and provides facilities for conferences, concerts, and cultural presentations throughout the year.
The third floor exhibits include the Blue Plate, a second-century glass artifact that demonstrates the advanced craftsmanship of ancient Albingaunum.
