Puzziteddu

Puzziteddu is a sandy beach on Sicily's southwestern coast that stretches between a lighthouse and rocky cliffs. The water displays blue-green tones with a gentle slope toward deeper areas.

The beach's name comes from the Sicilian word 'puzzu' meaning well, reflecting the freshwater springs that once supplied the area. These natural water sources were essential for human settlement along this coast.

The water encounters two rocky reefs that generate consistent waves and create special conditions for wave riders. These reef formations become especially active under certain wind and tide combinations.
