Parco del Monviso

The Parco del Monviso extends across 10,112 hectares, spanning from the Cuneo plains at 240 meters to the Monviso peak at 3,841 meters.

The nature park, officially established on April 17, 1990, has evolved through expansions in 2016 and 2019 to protect the regional ecosystems.

The protected area maintains connections with local communities through seasonal festivals and educational programs about Alpine environmental conservation.

Visitors can access multiple entry points by car or public transport, with marked trails ranging from valley walks to mountain climbing routes.

The park contains the Alevé woods, which form the largest stone pine forest in the Alps, covering 825 acres of mountain terrain.
