Cadreghe di Viso, Mountain summit in Cottian Alps, Italy
Cadreghe di Viso rises to 3,190 meters above sea level and features five distinct rock spires between Monte Viso and Visolotto mountains in the Cottian Alps.
The first recorded ascent of Cadreghe di Viso occurred on August 26, 1878, when Paul Guillemin, André Salvador de Quatrefages, Pic, and Véritier reached the summit.
The name Cadreghe originates from Piedmontese dialect, referring to the chair-like formations of the five rock spires that characterize this mountain peak.
The climb to Cadreghe di Viso requires passing through Rifugio Vallanta at 2,450 meters, crossing the Vallanta glacier, and navigating a large rocky area.
The mountain displays contrasting faces: its southern side offers accessible rocky terrain while its northern face drops sharply toward the Coolidge glacier.
