Santa Maria delle Grazie, Neoclassical church near Porta Nuova, Bergamo, Italy
The Santa Maria delle Grazie church features a Greek cross layout with a large dome supported by sixteen columns and decorated with religious paintings.
Following urban changes in 1856, the original structure from 1422 was demolished and rebuilt between 1857 and 1875 under architect Antonio Preda's direction.
The dome contains the Glory of Mary painted by Enrico Scuri, while the apse displays frescoes created by Giovanni Battista Epis.
The church opens daily from 7:00 AM to 11:45 AM and 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with extended hours on Sundays and religious holidays.
The church changed its name to Santa Maria Immacolata delle Grazie after the proclamation of the Immaculate Conception dogma in 1854.
