Mitsuzawa Park, park in Japan
Mitsuzawa Park is a sports park in Yokohama with grass fields for soccer and baseball, tennis courts, and a class 2 athletics track stadium. The grounds feature wide walking paths, a children's playground, the Hiranuma Memorial Gymnasium for indoor sports, and the adjacent Nippatsu Mitsuzawa Stadium which hosts soccer and rugby matches.
The park opened to the public in 1949 and has since become a venue for sports events. It hosted national competitions and served as a site during the Tokyo Olympics.
The park serves as a gathering place where neighbors meet and spend time together, from early morning joggers to families on weekends. Open grass areas and benches function as natural meeting spots where local residents connect through shared outdoor activities.
The park is easily accessible by subway from Mitsuzawa-kamicho Station and features wheelchair-friendly paths and nearby parking. Entry is free, though some facilities may require reservations, and restrooms are available and well-maintained.
Cherry trees blanket the northwest corner of the park and bloom abundantly in spring, drawing visitors with their fragrant pink and white flowers. Flower gardens throughout the grounds bloom at different times of year, adding changing color to the landscape.
