The Sotetsu Honda Theater occupied the third floor of the Sotetsu Movil building with a capacity of 184 seats divided between floor and fixed seating.
The theater opened in December 1988 as a dedicated small theater space and operated until its final performance in November 2014.
Monthly cultural exchange meetings called Yokohama Theater Salon fostered connections between performers and audiences throughout the venue's operation.
The theater's location, five minutes from Yokohama Station South Exit, provided easy access for both performers and audience members.
The opening performance featured the Haiyuza theater company presenting Christopher Durang's comedy about Betty and Boo's marriage.
