JR Yokohama Tower

JR Yokohama Tower is a building complex adjacent to Yokohama Station with 26 floors above ground and 3 underground levels. It connects directly to the station's western exit and houses retail spaces, a cinema complex, and office facilities.

The tower was completed in 2020 as part of the Excite Yokohama 22 plan, which began in 2009 to transform the area into an international exchange center. The project aimed to revitalize the station district and attract new activity to the neighborhood.

The building's four-story entrance hall features a cedar wood ceiling inspired by the interior of ships, honoring Yokohama's port heritage. This design connects the city's maritime history with modern shopping and entertainment.

The building is directly accessible from Yokohama Station and offers multiple shopping and entertainment options across several levels. Visitors should be prepared to explore multiple floors and take advantage of clear signage for navigation.

The Sea-Sky Deck on the twelfth floor is an open-air plaza with seasonal plantings and views of Yokohama Bay and the Bay Bridge. This quiet space offers a surprising contrast to the busy shopping areas below.
