Boat Race Kojima

The racing facility features a 600-meter oval course on an artificial lake where six boats compete in three-lap races lasting approximately two minutes.

The establishment operates within Japan's kyōtei tradition, which began in April 1952 when the first official race took place at Ōmura Kyōtei Stadium in Nagasaki Prefecture.

This venue represents one of Japan's four Public Sports establishments, operating alongside horse racing, bicycle racing, and motorcycle racing facilities with authorized betting systems.

Competitors must undergo specialized training at the Boat Racer Training School in Yanagawa City before participating in races at different classification levels from General to Special Grade.
