Brazilian Park Washuzan Highland, Amusement park in Kurashiki, Japan.
Brazilian Park Washuzan Highland is an amusement park on the slopes of Mount Washu in Kurashiki that offers several roller coasters and rides overlooking the Seto Inland Sea. The complex spreads across the forested hillside, combining natural scenery with mechanical attractions and dining facilities.
The park opened on August 13, 1971, as a drive-in concept in Okayama Prefecture. Over the following decades, the site grew into a full entertainment complex with rides and dining facilities.
The name reflects a Latin American theme visible in the design and live entertainment. Visitors encounter themed dining spots like the Amazon insect café and Deli Cafe Janeiro that add tropical touches throughout the grounds.
All-day passes cost 3,800 yen for adults and 3,200 yen for children, with weekday hours from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Visitors should wear sturdy shoes for the hillside terrain and expect limited operations during fog or heavy rain.
The Sky Cycle attraction lets visitors pedal along elevated tracks while suspended high above the ground, looking out over the Seto Inland Sea. The ride creates a sensation of floating above the forested hillside.
