Chiba Children’s Kidsdom

Chiba Children's Kidsdom is a large outdoor facility with playgrounds, water features, fishing ponds, cycling paths, and a mini steam train for families. The grounds span a varied area with different activities designed for children of various ages.

The facility opened in May 1971 and has served as a recreation destination for families in Chiba Prefecture since then. Over the decades, it has become an established gathering place for generations of children.

The place reflects Japanese family customs by bringing relatives together for outdoor play and nature exploration in shared spaces. Seasonal events and craft workshops show how local communities gather here to spend time together.

The grounds are open from March through October with a flexible payment system where visitors can buy tickets for individual activities. This setup lets families plan their day based on what interests them most.

Lake Yamakura surrounds the grounds, creating a natural water backdrop that defines the setting. This location allows children to enjoy go-kart racing and roller skating with the lake as part of the landscape.
