Futtsu Park

Futtsu Park is a coastal park stretching along Tokyo Bay, covering about 97 hectares of land. The grounds include multiple swimming pools, tennis courts, and two observation towers that offer views of Mount Fuji and the surrounding bay.

This park was established on October 11, 1951, and it preserves remnants of Tokyo Bay's historic fortress system. The Futtsu Motosu Battery, an old fortification, still stands within the grounds as a reminder of the area's military past.

The outdoor theater here hosts concerts and performances throughout the year, serving as a central venue for local artistic events. People gather regularly to enjoy live entertainment and cultural activities in this open space.

The park is accessible by bus from nearby train stations, making it easy to reach without a car. Ample parking is available for both personal vehicles and buses, so you have options depending on how you travel.

The grounds contain a protected natural monument called the Futtsu Suhama Plant Community, which preserves rare plant species found along the Tokyo Bay shoreline. This specialized vegetation survives in the harsh coastal environment and is rarely found elsewhere.
